Co-Founder and CEO
Jon Inns is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive at Threat Status. He has worked in the Information Security Industry since 2001 and has held a number of consulting, technology, business development and leadership positions throughout his career.
Jon spent seven years working for the UK Government in Security Architecture and R&D. He also spent 5 years in various positions at Silicon Valley SIEM security vendor ArcSight.
He was Co-Founder of SIEM specialist Edge7 which was later acquired by Accumuli Security PLC. Jon remained on the management team of Accumuli and was involved in a number of acquisitions before the company was later acquired by NCC Group PLC in 2015. He remained at NCC Group as the Director of Product Management until he left in 2017 to establish Threat Status.
Co-Founder and CTO
Ian Nice is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer at Threat Status.
Ian has held numerous security roles throughout his career starting out as a Smartcard Engineer for Oberthur Card Systems, before joining QinetiQ where he held a number of positions including Research Scientist, Protective Monitoring Engineer and latterly Operations Manager. Ian has also held senior positions at Hewlett Packard, Edge7, Accumuli Security and NCC Group.
Ian is a highly experienced technology leader with a talent for infrastructure, coding, electronics, security, data science, process engineering and just about every other technology discipline you can think of.
He is annoyingly clever.
Non Executive Director
Ian Smith is a Non Executive Director of Threat Status and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MXC Capital - The London based Technology Focused Advisory and Investment Company. He has an extensive track record of investing in and managing technology companies.
He co-founded the advisory subgroup of MXC Capital. Ian has sat on numerous boards and either led or been involved in a large number of transactions in the TMT sector.
Ian led strategic change and value accretion at Redstone plc and Accumuli plc and until recently was deputy executive chairman at Castleton Technology plc, having formerly been CEO, a role he held since the company’s inception.
